Interior Design Style - Art Nouveau

Packed full of sinuous, curvy lines inspired by nature, this interior design style began in the 1880s and lasted until the first World War. People either loved it or loathed it and that remains true today. This style is said to be very feminine, as shown in the female form, typically seen with long, flowing hair, and scantly clad. Names to look out for include Charles Rennie Mackintosh for furniture, architecture and jewellery, Emile Galle for glass, furniture and jewellery, Tiffany for lighting and Alphonse Mucha for posters.
